God seeks to open our eyes to injustice, to unstop our ears to the cries of the needy, o move us to extend ur hands to the fallen. Do what God expects...He requires of you but to dojustice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with God! To please God, we must be bold and determined and act with the open heart of a child!

Where can Christ use you for?

Living By Faith!!!

Living our faith can open the door to letting people ask you about the Lord. He'll give you simple words to express what blessings he has done for you. Have you ever someone ask "Who is this Jesus guy?" I have many a times! Acts 1:8 says "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witness..." Oh do I love that scripture!! That brings us to live by faith and explain to others what the Lord means to us. We sure want them to hear about Christ and accept Him so we can see them in Heaven!!! It's such a joy!

A Plate Of Cookies

I cannot return a favor to the person who helped me or gave me something, but I can pass the kindness on to someone else by doing something helpful for another. In Matthew 25:40, Jesus tells us that whatever we do for others in need, we do for Him. By expressing my love and concern for others through my making cookies, I am showing love for Jesus. They gave my hubby something and were moving, so I took them a plate. They were exhausted from moving, but could not stop thanking me.

Giving is like a boomerang; whatever we give usually comes back, just like this plate of cookies...always comes back full!!!! Enjoy your Thursday! I send my love and prayers!!!

James Robison Taping Of Life Today!!!!!!

Last night I had the privilege to meet a girl I have blogged with for four years. She is going to be on the James & Betty Robison's "Life Today" program. Oh, she did a phenomenal job giving her life's message. Plus we met some awesome staff members that put his program together. They taped four shows in one night, so there was no time to talk to him or Betty, but my hubby and I thoroughly were blessed seeing what happens beyond the scenes. And we met some great people who we sat by. Our friend Anne Jackson did an incredible job answering James' questions!!! We are proud to know her. She recently authored a book called "Permission To Speak Freely" (Essays and Art On Fear, Confession, and Grace). I have a book to give away if you should want it. Enjoy your Wednesday. Can't wait to see Beth Moore since we saw part of her taping! Wow! we were blessed!!!!! God is so great!!!

How about the wonders He has done?

You know there is nothing too hard for God to fix! Just recently our daughter became extremely busy at work and really we didn't have our always checking in with each other time....so I only got to talk with her one hour on Sundays. I sought the Lord constantly because I remembered the days I worked at a place where I hardly received a lunch hour and now the company is closed down. All that for nothing...so I understand where the demands are placed on staff! It's healing to get to connect with family because the Lord will give you many years of prosperity for staying close. I wouldn't trade it for anything! It is of necessity! Just stay in the Holy Word when the void is there and never forget what Jesus Christ has done to give us love and understanding with our precious kids. Even when we communicate with our Son also; it's so fabulous! I wouldn't trade it for anything! God definitely has given us wonders He has done, especially when we talk to our kids and hear how "cool" things are going! Same as God's Word...so "cool" and soothing!!!!

Great Admonishment!!!!!

Spring Beauty

Job 37:10-12

I love the beauty of fresh spring. The leaves (green) coming on the trees and the periannuals opening up as well as other planted flowers!!! I meditate on God's sovereignty and on the paths our life had taken through periods of summer, winter and then spring!

We have chosen to trust God through a year of heartache and uncertainty as we walk down paths with couples that have never been taught LOVE. We pray, God, give us hope in your steadfast love. Enjoy the spring beauty and let God's immediate faith and love surround you to help you find answers to life's problems!

There Is Nothing Beyond His Power!!!!

For me, God's Word is the final authority in all matters. I do not look to religious doctrine or how things turned out with someone else. My belief in healing is based solely on what God says in His Word. I know I have much more to learn and there are things I do not understand, but Iknow this for certain: the God that I know and LOVE does not cause me or anyone else to be sick. He is a compassionate, caring heavenly Father and there is nothing beyond His power!

Do You Have A Relationship With Very Many Christians?

Before searching the scriptures, I had a very dim view of God's promises and all that Jesus provided for me; I did not know the Word of God for myself...what a mistake! I began to see who I was in Christ Jesus and what my rights were as a child of God.

As a Christian, through my relationship with jesus, God made a way for me to enter into His presence, confident and free from all sense of unworthiness, guilt and condemnation. He had provided His only Son as an eternal payment for all the sings I have ever committed and also for the ones that I now ask forgiveness for.

How about you? Do you have a relationship with very many Christians? That sounds odd, but some women I know identify with non-Christians so that they can lead them to the Lord! That's awesome!

Ultimate Healer

I thank God for doctors and medicine; thee is no doubt that He uses medical science to heal. But I believe God to be the ultimate healer. John 6:33 "I have come to do the will of the Father." After reading this scripture, it became very clear to me that Jesus' ministry of healing and wholeness was God's will for me and fr all mankind. His ministry was God's will in action.

Jesus revealed the awesome beauty of what God the Father is like. I never read anywhere in scripture that Jesus put sickness on someone to teach them something or perfect their character. Only that He healed all that came to Him.

I John 3:11 - We should love one another!

Your love for one another will prove tot he world that you are my disciples.
John 13:35

I am grateful that God gave me a daughter and son who loves me. And I am grateful for the daughter and son He has given me to love. I pray that he will be always revealed in our love for each other.

Mothers & Daughters

The relationship between a mother and her daughter is as varied, as mysterious, as constantly changing and interconnected as the patterns that touch, move away from, and touch again in a kaleidoscope.

I'm blessed because my daughter and I are extremely close. Although she has the character traits her Dad has, still we are just very connected. I see so many Mothers and Daughters who don't even speak to each other and they are always putting each other down, I get very upset when I see it, sometimes there is nothing that can be done about it. Stay close and always respect each other. It's a very deep love between us and we are happy together!

Together we form a chain, a chain of love reaching from the past into the future.

Spend Time In God's Word...........

Do you spend time in God's Word?

As I have continued to spend time in God's Word and plant it deep inside me, His peace rises within me all on it's own. Fear will try to cme, but my spirit has grown stronger and peace quickly floods my mind. There have been times when I have been so calm that I have wondered, 'do I even care'? Of course, I knew that I cared and that I was obviously experiencing God's incredible peace right in the middle of the storm.

His promises stick with me. Read Job 11:13-18....if you devote your heart to Him and stretch out your hands to Him, if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then you will lift up your face without shame; you will stand firm without fear. You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will be like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety.

It's light outside in the morning sooner and some lighter at night.

I'm good at that.

The Lord gives me direction when things come up to change or I have to get used to something. I totally depend on God and I can feel Him so close to me helping me.

Prayers For Japan!!!!!

Wow! A devastating earthquake. So sad looking at it on the news. Both of our kids have taken trips to Japan before. Lots of people everywhere and buildings so close together. They've brought me back small chickens because I collect them, so I think a lot of all the shops they had to find for a chicken!!! I was always so appreciative.

Do We Love God Because He First Loved Us?

Of course! I John 4:15

Pass it on is what we as Christians need to do. I believe this is the message of Christ. We cannot pay him back for what He has done for us, but we can show our gratitude by passing on Christ's love and doing good for others.

I can't help but think of those who suffer because they don't feel the power of love from Christ or anyone! It's sad.

His Merciful Kindness Toward Us!!!!

I am often so occupied with my day-to-day business that I forget that Christ wants close relationship with me so that He can show me His kindness. he wants me to find rest and peace in the assurance that He is near me in EVERY experience, both big and small, each day.

So it is important for me to start every day with an open Bible and to give the day over to the Lord before the busyness begins.

Jesus said, "Come to me all you that are weary and are carrying heavy budens, and I will give you rest." mathew 11:28

Stay Around Happy People!!!

Recently I was "caught up" in a conversation with someone that wanted me to participate in what I call "being mean" like her behavior had been. I'm not judging; it was the truth...she was out to break up a marriage. It was tough to deal with because she doesn't see the damage she could cause. My heart is sad for her to even think of it in the first place! Ladies...that is wrong in any way and don't get caught up in it. Stay around happy people!! You'll feel so much better and do not have to worry about the question, Am I involved? That's a serious question because they will NEVER admit they are involved! Why own up...it will make her look bad. She already looks bad but she's too stubborn to own up.

My advice. Be happy someone is getting help with their marriage!!! And stay out of the problems; especially because you are not even involved!!! Just stay away from negative and hang on to happy that a couple will want to find answers.

I Peter chapter 4 talks about loving your husband!!! Enjoy your Tuesday!!!

Spirit Powered!!!

I Cor. 12:7 "To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good."

The disciples were ordinary people, living ordinary lives, until they met Jesus. At His last supper with them, Jesus promised that after His death, they would receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that they must wait for the Spirit of Truth, who would guide them into all truth! John 16:13

It suddenly dawned on me that we feel the same way if we don't have God's spirit in our lives. We need the power of the Holy Spirit to be effective in our Christian lives. The power!!!! Oh yes!!!!! Call up on Him. It works!!

Friendship is Such a Gift!!!! Random Comments

I truly loved the comment Angie made yesterday on my blog. I am still living on "yesterday's blessings" and I love it! Friendship is a gift and I appreciate that so much!

One of the greatest joys in my life is our friendship...I don't think either of us suspected, when we first met, that we would stand whre we do today....that goes with any friends....sharing the close harmony of our abiding friendship. I have another close friend, Geneva who always encourages me to share myself fully, my hopes, my dreams, and at this time she has to get so many things accomplished at work.

No one knows what path tomorrow will find us walking who to help in their marriages, but a lifetime friend will always encourage, pray, and share their joys, etc. That's our goal. (Jim and mine). God is so good. I am claiming His promises as we serve Him. Philippians says "He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Friendship makes us soooo much better!!!! Keep itup!!!

Morning Here Already!!!!!!

Everyone knows me to be a "Morning Person." So true, but today this was an interuption night where someone called and needed us. Whew!!! I found out I'm a person who goes to sleep and stays asleep, but when there is interuption, it makes me wonder is morning really here?

We never stop serving.

Only the Lord knows the dedication in our heart to help.

Become Stronger Each Day!!!

As we wait upon you, Lord, we become stronger and take heart. I see goodness in all of this. We can praise Him for His everlasting love. He has been our hope over and over again, and so Sovereign. He has the power and authority to work things together for our lives.

Become stronger. Fully Rely On Him!!!!

Your Call To Love

I write LOVE Sessions. I love it. Thank you, Lord, for calling me to explain love. Not a love because of what others do, but an unconditional everlasting love. I can only have the capacity to love like this when it comes from the Lord!

Of course He can show me how to care for the lovely but for those who aren't so lovable. thank you Lord for showing me how to take a firm stand for what is right and for helping me to disagree with those who do wrong, yet still care about them.

My call to love reminds me to love those closest to me, to cherish and treasure them and not take them for granted!

I must have a sincere, true love.

Let me love, not envy. Let me listen and care, not brag or put down.

Help me bear the griefs share the dreams and see past the faults of those who need love.

Attend To Anger

How does a frozen heart warm again? Where is warmth for chilled relationships? We run into that all the time....a couple who hasn't spoken to each other for weeks!

Only a warmhearted Savior could melt the permafrost of our resentments. He has endured the permafrost of eternal separation from God and risen victorious could move you to intentional, God-pleasing attitudes!

You have to confess your coldhearted resentments and for courage to resolve and address wrongs exactly to the anger so you can pass on.

Have you ever carried frozen anger? How did you get rid of it.

Philippians 3:13-14 "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on."

Has God Given You Joy Lately?

He has given me joy. Our daughter is really going through her busy, busy time at her job and I decided to NOT WORRY, I would have JOY that I know she will be alright. I can remember when I worked at a Company where they kept giving me so much to do, I just kept on going like the energizer bunny, but for some reason I always think her Company gives her a lot. She loves it! I always loved it also. But now I look back and ask myself why I did SO much! And God gave me joy to do it! But, I will admit God sees me through the fact that our kids enjoy their work and I do ask God to forgive me for "worrying" but I know they are joyous they have good jobs and are happy.

Do you ever look back on a job that just worked you a lot? I would love to hear.

Let the Love Shine!!!!

Your love shines more than you realize. It shines on all humankind today. It is so wonderful how the Lord created everything and regulated by Him ALL the time. Great are Your works, dear Lord. Great is your love, O Father!!! Let it shine. Do something for someone today to show love. I want February (the most incredible LOVE month) to go out with making your life just shine so bright because all of us have the Lord's love and when it goes forth from Him, that's the key happiness in our lives! Practice letting your love shine and it will become a steady habit and you will be blessed! Definitely a word of encouragement.

Our Lord Is So Compassionate!!!

His compassion surpasses all! He knows us and feels our happiness or pain. I can almost sense His Holy Spirit grieving on my behalf. We just recently lost a precious Uncle who lived a blessed life Pastoring sixty-one years! Wow! How we praise the Lord for understanding us so well through this loss. The Lord is so compassionate, understanding, and acknowledging our needs during this time. And oh how we are grateful, Father, for your constant love and leading us through this grief.

Luke 7:1ff - .....and a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, "Don't cry."

Spreading The Word......

Telling others of God's love and how to love doesn't make me special. All the glory goes to Him, my Lord. I'm not serving according to my plans. It's because He chose me. Who am I? Only a little insignificant person in this great big world. So much can be accomplished for Him. No matter the cosst, help me always to be a servant. He can be pleased with me. Because some day He will say "Well done, My good and faithful Servant."

Are You Thirsty For God's Word?

God will prepare you for the dry times of life. Then when your throat parches and your spirit withers, drink the Living Word of God and be eternally refreshed!

Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and your commitment to sustain me through the dry, parched times of life. Increase Your grace in me to pick up the word and read it. Give me self-control and spiritual disciplines, and make me ready for each day that lies ahead.

"Do what is right and good in the Lord's sight, so that it may go well with you." Deuteronomy 6:18

Husbands are such a great help!!!!!!!!

Last night we had our devout friends, Geneva and Clint over for a super dinner. My husband was a tremendous help. I cannot thank him enough for peeling the potatoes, onions, etc. such a help....he even set the table!!!! If I were to count all the things he does to make things easier for me, I wouldn't have enough fingers and toes to count the appreciation I have for him being so great!!!

Those of you who know, they were the key "staff" at Lighthouse Church and helped us tremendously. They do love the Lord in a really blessed way. We cannot begin to tell anyone that we are grateful for them and pray to the Lord they get many victories in their lives for being so dedicated to still using their talents for to help the Church they are at now. They still look so very young and enthusiastic, loving, honoring Christ first in their lives.

Thank you, both, for the fellowship, fun, and the time spent to brighten our lives. May the grace of our Lord empower you as you love others.

The Lord is always with us to love and comfort!

His Grace is sufficient for ALL we need.

The Lord so helps us when we struggle. God gives us generous love.

Here's an example of crabby in the spirit of love. Because they had to stand in a long line only to be sent to another long line. Or maybe a person is crabby because they didn't get enough sleep. or crabby because life isn't going the way they want. I want my way.....These are okay crabbies... because "I" statements that don't blame or accuse, only describe are ok.

Go ahead and be loving in spite of crabbies!!! Keep love going!! Happy Thursday!

We thank you Lord for being with us. I awoke this morning, I felt the Lord being so near from yesterday grieving over loosing such a great man to my hubby. through the day when his funeral was yesterday, the Lord reminded me to seize the moments and use them to do His will. When weariness sets in, thank the Lord for helping us press forward, be responsible, and not put things off.

Someone crossed my path. She needed an encouraging word and a prayer offered for help; needing to love her husband more. Let me seize this day for your glory, Lord.

I praise you, Father, for the way your love shines on me and on all of humankind. It is so wonderful how you created everything and regulate it all. Great are your works. Great is your love, O Father. Thank you for searching me out and saving me and for my Christian friends. Thank you for planting my feet upon your solid rock! I praise you for forgiving my sins and providing me a joyous, new life in you! Thank you for seeing me as a sheep worth everything. Amen

Love Makes The World Go Round!!!!

I love, love!! Is that a good sentence? Hmmmm We teach couples "Make Love Happen!" Can't go into total details because this blog would be mega pages and would never end!! My hubby is LOVING and I totally agree I am LOVING also. So when two LOVINGS come together sparks fly and keep on flying!

Valentine's Day Brightens Everyone's Day

All the glory goes to the Lord. He gave us sacred trust with our life partner.

Thank you Lord for giving me such an easy task that pleases him and my hubby. May you look at me someday and say "Well done, my good and faithful servant." You loved beyond comprehension.

Giving Love & Sympathy To My Spouse

I'm sure you read on FB that my husband's very favorite Uncle Julius passed away in Jacksonville, Fla. Due to my hubby's still recuperating from an illness, he doesn't feel like he should attending his funeral. We would never have enough finances to go on a trip that distance. As I began to give love and sympathy to him, he gave his feelings that it would be better to remember all the tremendous life he had in him instead of death look. You have to look on the reality of things. Weighing all circumstances, we are accepting the right decision, not to go. Dr. Julius was first a Music Director at one of the largest churches in America and then he was called to Pastor. After that, he had retired, but became ill quickly having pancreatic cancer and didn't live very long after they treated it.

We had many smpathies sent to us and that, we feel, is God's grace helping us through it. My hubby has been there for so many all the years in the ministry, I am glad he heard from friends and it makes it easier to grieve and pray for the family he had. Four grown kids, and several grandkids. His wife (Aunt Wynelle) still plays the piano in Church, so the funeral will be there. She is an amazing wife and God is extending grace to her; as she said he suffered so badly, it was a blessing that our precious Lord took Him home.

I know each one of you that read my blog will continue to pray for him...it's a great loss....and that you will let us be truly grateful for your caring.

1,300 wooohoooooo

This is my 1,300 blog!!!!! That's a lot of days of blogging and much writing. God has been good. I'm so proud of myself. His Grace and Mercy has kept me going. Your tremendous comments make my day for sure!!!! I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Happy Valentine's Day. Keep that love saturating with your hubby and those you know. Did you see the "Piano Prodigy" kid was playing rock n' roll and he is 10 yrs. old. He said he's been taking lessons since he was 3 years old. What wonderful talent.

Tonight is FNDN. Hmmmmmm I think all I want is be hugged by his loving, warm arms. This cold weather has really done a number on me. Some days I just can't get warm, no matter what. But then I think about the people out in it, my heart feels for them getting through icey streets or bad traffic.

I've enjoyed just sharing my heart on this 1,300 blog!!!! A friend of mine who had a blog gave it up. She had over a thousand subscribers. Community!!! I miss her blogs. Hey, stay warm today and look forward to the 70's temps supposed to start tomorrow and next week. Thank you Lord for warm weather...I couldn't be more thankful in my everyloving life!!!!!

So This Is How It Feels.........

BEING A GRANDMA.....To this day, they still steale my heart and take my breath away!!! I can remember the first gift I gave them....my heart!!!! There aren't enough words! Like the sun coming out for the very first time! And the grass growing greener on my side of the fence. And the sky looking bluer than ever before.

Nana, Grandmother, Nanny, Grandma, Mimi, Gram, what shall I be called? Of course mine is Grandma which I love purely marvelous! Being a Grandma changes our thinking. We are so blessed to see our Son such a great "Dad." And now that one of our grandchildren is headed toward teen years, where did time go???? Daren has raised her with wisdom and love. It makes us so proud!

So this is what being a Grandma is. And our grandson is simply adorable! He is brilliant on those games on the various machines that play those games! Not, only that, but he is soooo lovable and so is our Granddaughter!!!...both Grandma's pride and joy!!

And that no matter how many or no matter how old; grandkids continue to take us to places our hearts never knew were there.

Seeing the Goals......

Do you see the goals that are set before you? Goals restore and built my faith. He once again removes my worries and doubts and replaced them with His warm, assuring love.

The adventure has begun. I note the blessings He gives along the way and praise Him for each one. I refuse to dwell on the negative. I fix my mind and heart on Him....the Lord jesus. I thank Him for keeping me in perfect peace, for my mind is stayed on Him. I will continue to trust and depend on Him now and always.

Thank you Lord for ebeing the eternal Rock of my salvation. I am relying on Isaiah 26:3-4 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on theee; because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength." This is my goal. Bless each one of you today that reads this blog today. Prayers, Peace and reach your goals!!!

Are You Talented?

I know several of my friends who knit, crochet, chef, plant flowers beautifully, write, encourage, etc......... Sing, play an instrument, create artwork, organize, have a passion to love others.....

That's what I think of when Valentine's Day is fast approaching. LOVE is my favorite thing to do. Recently I expressed my love to my Sisters...one of them ended up with angry at me because she didn't want me to love my other sisters. It was sad to go through, but I don't let stuff like that stop me. My love that the Lord has given me goes pretty deep. I know a lot of friends who don't have a sister and they miss it. God has given me a special love and no one can bust it!!!

Today I'll making my Valentine Cards for the family I send it to. How about you? Do you send cards or do you just live what you want to tell your family?

Jeremiah 29:11-12 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord; "plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and I will listen to you."

Father, I praise you for the past. I have many good memories and some bad ones. I recall the victories, the failures, the wise choices, and mistakes.

Help me to learn because of them. How about you? Do you know His plans?

Pit Living

Years ago I came across a piece abut someone who fell into a pit and couldn't get out and how others treated her. She had gone to drugs, alcohol, and anger fits.
Everyone backed away from her. She knew they were living a phoney Christian life.

A subjective persn came along and made a statement that she felt for her down there.

A Pharisee said, "Only bad people fall into pits."

A realist came along and said, "Now that's a pit."

A self-pitying person said, "You haven't seen anything until you've seen my pit."

An Optimisit said, "Things could be worse."

Jesus, seeing the lady, reached down and took her by the hand and lifted her out of the pit.

We should always keep in mind that God loves everybody, and to treat others they way Jesus would treat them. Reach out and brighten their day. This would be a great day - A SUPER BOWL DAY to help someone get out of the pit. We all need love.

Esteem Others Better!!!!

The Scripture Philippians 2:3-4....look it up. whoa...says to esteem others better than yourself. How many really do that? To me, it would honor all. Every person's role contributes to a bigger picture.

Yesterday I had someone lie to me. And it makes me wonder why? I knew it was a lie, but I chose to just keep quiet and let them suffer knowing they were not telling the truth. What's wrong with the conscience of people? Wouldn't they know the lie would be caught up with when the truth does come out? Today I am esteeming this person higher than me because when they realize they did not tell the truth, they can suffer the consequences. I'll be honest, it makes me want to quit, and why try, but they are the ones that have to live with lies that are told. My heart goes out to people like that, but yet, where's the respect for me if they continue not telling the truth?

Let's spend some time in prayer for people who are so far away from God, they don't know anything to do but not tell the truth. Only the Lord can convict! Enjoy your Saturday and stay warm!!!

Storms in Life

Isn't that the way it is with God? When we're shattered, broken, and bruised from the storms in life, the Lord is there picking up the broken pieces, mending us, and helping us grow again. Never give up on love, because it will cause a struggle.

I wonder what beauty God will have out of struggles.

Isn't it wonderful that He never gives up on us?

"And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered for a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast." I Peter 5:10

Rolling Black Outs.......

I understand it was a state-wide emergency, but when I told our daughter that we had rolling black outs, she said as cold as it is where she is, they never do that. She was so protective of us. In the night there were three so I had the flashlight, very prepared. But I understand it will start about 5:30 a.m. this morning again. I will begin lighting candles because our home is pitched dark when electrocity is not on. She also said they used to have a lot of rolling blackouts in California when the electricity in the summer went full blast. What a concern. I thought that was so supportive and I'll be calling this morning to report that we're ok.

Wherever you are, please be prayed for this time with this horrific weather. I've been snuggling up to reading the book of I Timothy or I Corinthians. I love to read about love in the Bible and that always gives me great contentment. There's nothing we can do about the Rolling Black Outs, so just live through it. Our neighbors, Jose and Martha, had their pipe freeze so they came over and got some tons of water to help them get through this morning so they can go to work. It's nice to help a neighbor; that is the cause our Christianity brings us to "love thy neighbor." How about you? What is the Rolling Black Out doing to your schedule? Stay warm today; I know I am going to STAY warm.

We Are Grateful!!!!!!!

It is bitter cold as people know here now. Schools are closed. The street in front of our home is melted and part of our driveway.

I cannot begin to be soooo grateful to Daren for checking on us last night to see if we were warm. It sure makes us feel like we raised our kids the right way. Carie checked by e-mail yesterday at her job. It's super cold where she is. I can honestly say cold gets to me. I made homemade potato soup and was still cold last night. I'm really hoping this bitter cold weather ends pretty soon.

This reminds me to thank God and be so grateful to kids that check on Mom and Dad and of course we do everything we can do to stay warm. Thank God for blankets and plenty of them. I will stay warm. How about you? I trust you are bundling up. Be happy and blessed!

Do We Have Patience?

I long to be your hands and your feet, dear Lord. Grant me patience when the paths gets rough. Help me to use these years in the best way for you and not to squander them on needless, wasteful things.

Psalm 27:4 "One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek; that I may dwell in the houe of the Lord all the days of my life, no gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in all ways of patience."

I have learned to have patience. It didn't JUST happen. It took trial and error. How about you? Are you a patient person?

We All Need Community!!!!!

No man is an island to himself. Sometimes the responsibilities we all have to do are overwhelming but we still need to have some communication with people who mean a lot to us. Who are we? Only one little insignificant person in this great big world. But I must tall all who will listen of the marvelous things you do, the awesome lessons you teach in your world by the great things that you know to pass on! So much can be accomplished for you.

Thank you for continuing to help me remember to view my interruptions as opportnities to be a blessing with community. We are precious and honored in His sight. Isaiah 43:1-4 is so great to read. He wants us to have community; around, over, and under to serve. He has a glorious plan for us to encourage others. Just say, "Yes."

His Word Everlasting!!!!! Sat. & Sun. Blog : )

I'm slowly getting well from the severe sinus infection. So, I'm combining my blog for Sat. & Sun. We find ways to improvise when our energy is intaet or gone. Thank you for understanding and.....Thank you, Lord, for reminding me in your Word about life everlasting. You stand by us. The book in Revelation says He will wipe away all our tears, because of His glorious light. There will be no sickness or pain, no sin or hurt feelings. All of this will be gone, never to return! I know I have more to do here Lord, so I will keep going on. I will serve and praise you with all my heart.

A lil' paragraph I wrote in my prayer journal. It's my sincere prayer that God will give us the grace to take away pain and suffering. I just finished one whole week of that and He is slowly bringing me back to par, as I call it. Just don't give up. His word is everlasting and His love will carry you through!

Purpose of Blogs....or at least my Blog

When blogs were popular, our son said, "Mom you would be great at blogging" so I asked me to drop by and put me one in. I'll never forget the incredible joy and happiness it gave to me; to be able to share my heart, heart's desire and keep myself using my gift, ENCOURAGEMENT. After almost 1,327 blogs, I am still loving to blog and if one person was blessed, it's been worth it. Most of my revivals come from survivals. I'm a fighter and fight to win because I know God has moved my fingers so many, many times; sick or not sick, happy or not happy, just kept my motivation and focus on what He would have me write. SO VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING.

And of course when my hubby gets up; one of his first questions will be "What did you write about on your blog today?" He knows and the kids say "How's your blog?" "Did anyone comment?" Purpose of blog.....love is all I can answer. The Love God has given me to give out. And of course I know nothing about google stuff, but I do know that if I have a problem, they readily fix it through their help contact. So, that seems easy as pie. And I love simple things. Especially since we have retired.

Okay....back to giving glory to our incredible God who is always there for us; solves all problems and we need Him just to straighten out the drastic issues in this world! This week I have read Proverbs 3:5-6 over and over and over, knowing full well trusting in the Lord with all my heart and lean not unto my own understanding....what a promise of God. I have told the Lord that I will lean on Him and just be eternally grateful that the encouragement I get back from the commenters I have now is enough to make me want to keep on keeping on .....at least with my Blog. Thanks you precious friends and may God bless you beyond comprehension. Jesus is all we need, ladies. He will shine our light for us!!! Happy Friday and the weekend. Yesterday I was able to make some homemade vegetable soup and now tonight for our date night I am going to turn it into a pot pie. I will put two crusts with the soup (which has thickening in it) and viola......a homemade pot pie! I think the last antibiotic pill has really kicked in, but I do want to stop and thank you precious friends who have prayed for me and made comments here on my blog.....my heart is so grateful.

Oh, and the purpose of blog....for the writer to share what she has on her mind, then if the commenters are going through the same thing...share....love, love, love it! ...the Force that sustains me, subscribers!!!! Yea!!!

Nudges Admitted To God!!!!

Thank you, Lord, for nudges to do and say things or stay quiet. I gratefully lean on His wisdom while He shows me how to be a blessing. Grown kids still need lots of love. That's why I love being a Mom that doesn't become a busy body to my older kids. While I was sick, they checked on me daily. That's what I love about becoming aged....I want to be the one who continues to bless for many years, stay close to our kids and friends....definitely stay close to God; He wants us to snuggle up to Him. And our kids want that snuggle up and told they are loved and we are proud of every existing thing they do.

Guess you have noticed, I have gotten rather personal on my blogs lately. It's not only an encouragement to y'all, I pray but for me. Those who know me, know my blogs are my happiness.

Yesterday I found myself in the Dr.'s office at 4:50 p.m. I developed a "sore face" so knowing myself, I figured it was a sinus infection. Yes, it was, so he gave me some meds. I'll make this short because I find myself sleeping from the meds but from just one evening of taking it, I can at least breathe better.

I value your prayers.

We Need Our God!!!!!!!

There is no other so great as you, O Lord. You are my mighty God. Nowhere in heaven or earth is there One so wonderful and Holy. I long to glorify your mighty name every moment of each day. In all I do and say I give you honor and adoration.

You cause tides to change, mountains to grow. You start the heartbeat of a tiny, baby bird. You blow the breath of life into a newborn child!

To you, O mighty God, be poer and glory forever! We need every moment of every single day!

A Great Reunion!!!!!!

Since I've been on FB, a teen student when we worked with the teens has found me. So, she was a devout, dedicated teen we had in our department way back when (and I really mean way back) found me and has been sharing her past life in all those years. I'm positive her gift is "Encouragement" because she sure had some fabulous, wonderful compliments about my hubby and me when we were Teen Pastors. What a blessing!!! What a blessing to know we had such an influence. To God be the glory!!! I cannot even begin to tell her how much it means to us to hear how she is doing. A great reunion!!! We're talking it would be thirty-six years ago! Time flies, but we thank God so many lives were influenced. Wow! God bless her is our prayer and enthusiastic gratefulness! Seem overwhelmed; yes we are because so many times people come and go but you never hear how their lives are doing.

Isn't God incredible? Romans 15:5-6 "Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the Lord and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Remember...........

to take a moment to pray today for couples who are on the verge of not getting along. Love, love, love and don't give up!!!!! We meet with a couple today who are really working with each other and I just know with your prayers, it will happen permamently! We should never give up. Encourage each other. Happy Saturday!

Greatest JOY!!!!

What is your greatest joy? Last month one of my favorite Bloggers did a JOY each day for the month of Dec. I participated and yes, it did keep a sweet, loving spirit in the Home life to be JOYOUS each and every day! But, then, what is your greatest joy is a bit different. What makes you happy? My greatest joy is to see my very bestest friend, well. She is having to change medicines to help her better and my prayer and greatest joy to see her well and adjusted to regular daily tasks where she feels better. Another greatest joy is to see our daughter rested from her move. It's such an enormous task to move, get unpacked, and all set up in a new place! Of course the biggest and greatest joy is to see my husband well from a bad bout with Shingles. One never knows who is suffering like this man has with living with such horrific pain. All I know to do is pray, keep on praying, asking all the people that know us to pray. And that would be my greatest joy. I would love to know your's.

I've been looking for a verse I can carry today regarding...but all I can say is a promise I learned many years ago. The Joy of the Lord is my strength!!!!!!!! Happy Friday and get ready to have a wonderful, JOYFUL weekend!

I'm Hyped!!!!!!

Because I believe couples are getting it! Realizing that fighting doesn't need to be the answer! So, what do they do? They decide to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Now that hypes me! That is marriage to the greatest! Just love! Giving love to each other is the ultimate! You go couples and I am so happy announcing that! I knew you could do it! Happy Thursday everyone!!!

Do You Think Couple Should Never Fight?

What's your take on this? After the fight is over, how did you feel? Did you ever find out why you were fighting? I know this is pretty negative for even writing about it. I always like to keep my blogs on a positive note. Then, I was thinking...well how would couple get help if at some time we didn't discuss the ngatives?

So you found out why you give into fighting? How much did it resolve the problem? Does the problem keep showing it's ugly face?

I think you should make it a point....something has to stop! Even if the wife is the one that says that! Women are afraid to stop something and I hear their comment...I'm afraid he won't love me. Clear the air! Make a major decision that this has to be corrected because it is causing stress and the ill feelings just too long. Come on. Give in. Ask for forgiveness for the last fight and then start anew. Thank God you can always start over. Look forward to knowing that fight got nowhere, so the next one is not either. Give it up! It's not worth it! Things are said that you don't mean anyway; so be the hero and come to the end of starting chaos and uproars!!!! I'll be praying you JUST GIVE IT UP!!!

Precious Gift......Your Family!!!

The precious gift of my family comes from God. Thank you, Lord, for reminding me never to take them for granted and for nourishing my family's love so we remain close.

When things get strained among any of us. I praise You Lord that I can take each loved one to You and ask for help and wisdom. I never cease to be amazed at the way you give insight so I can see things from my other family members' points of view.

Thank you for the Holidays, birthdays, etc. Thank you, too, for the quiet one-on-one walks and talks. Some of these I will always cherish.

My family isn't perfect, but I don't love them for perfection. I love them in spite of their faults. I love them because they are my family, planned for me before we ever came into being. Thank you, Lord, for each one.

I Peter 3:8 - "Finally all of you live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble." ...oh yes, a precious gift!

Things Are Moving!!!!!!

I asked God to put me in a position where my past knowledge would help my life count for someone. And whoa!!!! Last night about 6 p.m. I received a cell phone call from a friend I had from New England. She called to tell me she really misses my blogs because her son took her computer and got her a laptop and she doesn't know how to work the laptop so she gave it to her ganddaughter. Now, her computer doesn't work. So, she gave up life and felt being "wasted away." I convinced her that there are things to keep moving, do not give up. She committed herself to keep walking, keep sending thank you notes, doing things she likes. No one can do it but YOU!

You keep things moving. God will be the motivator, but giving up is not the answer. Because why? You will become stale!!! And what I call die out!!

Ladies we must put God in control. As we let Him take control, we become one with Him. It is amazing how much easier our burdens become.

Thank You Lord for how you gave me my friends (BFF) It happened as though He planned it all along. I rejoiced that she needed me. I thank God for showing me how to be kind and compassionate and alert to my friend's concerns and needs.

Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loveth at all times." "And now these three remain: faith, hope and the greatest of these is love." I Cor. 13:13 God keep things moving!

I'm Up Major Early!!!!!! "God goes before us," I told her....

A couple we are working with; he had to go to the hospital and she had never been left alone without him. She got back from the hospital @ 3 a.m. So, she called me and of course I'm ALMOST up, but knowing I'm an early riser, she called. She's a blessing, so it was a-ok. It's either his heart or kidneys. It's going to be rough for her because he'll be in the hospital three or four more days. My heart goes out to her. She said she couldn't sleep, but then the hospital had no chair for her to sit in.

Here's what I told her. Concentrate on Jesus. he is the who will lead us. He'll give us courage and strength for the time of sorest need.

Trusting all to the wisdom of Him we'll sure win!!!! Right shall win, and wrong shall meet with loss.

Gladly turn to the Service that puts us to the test. Brave and true, dare and do what's right. Rally up to the Lord and know His will is done as He is in the hands of our precious Lord and healing of her hubby; and trust the leading of God is right there so with him and her.

God goes before us!!!! Put that love out there, girl, and let it shine with the oh so joy you have for him. Your smile as you visit him, will bring so much joy. After being poked and shot with needles, the smile will override all the tubes, etc. stuck in him. When things go caty-whompus, I always let love shine and my hubby ALWAYS stays in a mood of happiness and appreciation and knowing he wants it and needs it. Who wants a crab around when you're sick anyway. God will go before you and give you courage!!!!! Each day we rely on Him; every second, minute and hour!!

Great News!!!!!

Did you know God will come so close to you when you ask Him to? When you read your Bible and commune with Him: 1) I am nourished by His Word! 2)He surrounds me with His presence like the fragrance of roses in full bloom. His presence goes beyond all limits. It surpasses all else. it is stronger and more powerful than any mountain!

I'm learning to heed His guidance rather than react unwisely to whatever comes my way.

Trusting in God

I wonder, do we really trust God?

When we do, a huge weight of responsibility has lifted from my shoulders. As I completely, nconditionally, with no reservations, place my trust in Him; I feel new joy in my life.

The Bible says "Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength." Isiah 26:3-4.

It's mandatory to trust in God and invigorated anticipation to have Him as our guidance. My heart takes delight becuase I trust in you, God, you are my holy God....I praise You for how your mercy toward me is like no other. Your love is eternal, I place all my trust and hope in You God!

I need to get ready for FNDN.....let's see what should I plan? Something simple is what I want.

My Heart

I am going to take some time off from blogging. Every one that knows me know this is my LOVE, my HEART. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE BLOGGING! Time

Hurts & Bitterness!!!

There are so many women that carry hurt and bitterness. They fail even with help. I am learning to retrieve the lively, warm fires and to leave the sad, cold ashes behind.

Jeremiah 2(:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Call upon Him, pray with Him and He will listen to you! Forgiveness lingers like a healing balm. How dear, and how marvelous. Thank you Lord.

Overcoming Issues!!!!

Have you done everything you can to overcome your issues that you face? Are you frustrated, exhausted and at the end of your rope? Release all those things to the Lord. He is waiting patiently for you, ready to take charge of your life.

Just place it in His hands. Stop struggling. His love is eternal. Place all your trust and hope in Him!

Peace & Joy of Mind!

A working mother loses peace of mind. She has little time for her family. Her mind's too preocupied with her job, her work problems, her responsibilities away from home. So she feels guilty. Especially when it's time to rush tow ork and one of the kids has a sore throat and the babysitter calls to say that she can't come.

But there are rewards of Motherhood. I still believe God's idea for Moms is to stay focused on peace and joy of mind! You have two vital jobs, home and Company. I always hope and pray the weekends aren't rough! All the things that have to be done. I trained our kids in strong character, responsible, and respect for elders, teachers or any adults that expect super attitudes. It worked. Both our kids are so smart in decision skills and very joyful staff members. May God bless Moms and all our kids as we all pray for each other to have peace and joy of mind!!!

Early To Bed, Early To Rise!!!

This means I have had plenty of sleep and am up ready to get the day started. Sometimes I totally believe I am the ONLY person up at this time of the day. We are having friends over Friday night and I'm excited! The menu is Mexican Cuisine and it will be delicious. Who wants to go out to eat when homemade is so delicious??
We need the friendship and fellowship. So, today being Wednesday and the event will be two more days, how will mine or your Wednesday be?

My Wednesday begins with the word! I'm thanking the Lord for His forgiveness, love, and JOY He gives me. He never holds a grudge against me. Instead, I know my sins are completely washed away. His love is far greater than how high the Heavens are above this little round ball caled Earth. His love stretches farther than the east is from the west. Thank you for the Joy You give me this Christmas to help others and be so blessed!!! Romans 8:28 "All things work together for those that love the Lord." Bring on Friday, Lord....that will be another "Early Rising!!!" : )

A Jolly Christmas!!!!!

And what does that mean? It means a Joyful Christmas. Don't let the hum-bad-gripes from anyone get to you!!! Yesterday I was talking to my Sister who lives out of state and the conversation was ba-hum-bug....so I put a stop to it! I was so proud of me. Listen....it's bad enough to have to pray that God supplies every tiny bit of needful things...so why should I want to sit and discuss ba-hum-bug! I want a joyful Christmas...JOLLY...laughter...fun...more laughter..just having God meet every need. And He will!!!! I pray and hope your Christmas will be jolly!!!!

Take a dose of Hebrews 10:24-25 "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another." I'm willing. Are you?

100 Joys!!!!!

Sarah Markley has 100 Joys going on her blog. Her blog is the very best I have ever read. She is an extraordinary writer and such a lovely person!!! I've been finding JOY every single day, hour, and minute to be a part. There are so many issues that happen that turn to joy if only we will let them.

Joy, true joy that comes from me, given through Christ gives me songs of praise and scriptures flow from my heart. I fall asleep with a prayer trailing from my lips with joy and awaken with a hymn of praise flowing through my mind. You, Lord, are my joy and strength.

The more joy I pass on to others, the more the Lord refills my well with unquenchable joy! Everlasting joys and peace. Thank you, God! And thank you Sarah, for being such a vital blessing to me (my hubby also) as he has retired from Senior Pastoring 38 years!!! Be blessed with a JOYOUS CHRISTMAS & definitely JOYOUS New Year!!!

So Happy!!!!

Although the morning snapped with frost, the sunny day made doing chores and FNDN easy. Near dinnertime, a knock came at the door. A kind looking man appeared weary from travel. He was selling Christmas trees. It would make me happy to buy one, but I don't trust someone just driving by to sell something.

So, we put our lil' movie in and were so happy, discussing the events to come. It's important to communicate with hubby for future plans. We live on faith, so we really have to keep together on what we are doing. We're just so happy we can be of help, still, and be used of God.

I hope my comments portion is working. But, then I know a lot of other bloggers who do not get comments, so I'm just going to praise God for who I know read my blogs. Denying........

Too negative for me. When people deny constantly that they "didn't say it." How can joy be in peep's life when they deny issues that they do not want to resolve? I call upon God for wisdom. Each day I thank Him for guidance in handling these kind of situations. Thank you Lord for how you help me tell about your Love. I treasure the Lord's leading as I share His lessons and rise each morning to face a new day. I write your words on plaques (in fact we have one hanging when you first open the front door.) that say "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15

Thank you Lord for helping me never compromise the standards you have set for me. I praise You for cautioning me to be kind and generous, honest and wise in speech. Thank you for strength as I strive to be a good example.

Depending On God!!!!

I am depending on God to remain close to us this Christmas. With my hubby not feeling well, it is more important to get his medicines all in order so he can feel better.

The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
and holy in all His works.
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him,
to all that call upon Him in truth.

Keep calling on Him. He is there!!!!

Appreciation For Aged

Thank you, Father, for our aged Christians and the wisdom we share. Thank you for our steadfast prayer lives that help carry out miracle after miracle. Thank you for letting us build on even the elderly good and bad.

I praise You, too, for persons who are never ready to retire from working in His Kingdom. How beautiful are those who adopt the younger to help, giving loving, nourishing care. That would be my hubby and I. Thank you for letting us have the courage to help and those that need help want help. We trust in God for His goodness.

Got Friendship

Yesterday a lady that was in our church took me to lunch. It was a blessing. It's nice to think someone still remembers the blessings and great things that occured in our life!

It was good for me to go with a person and have fellowship. When trials attack my life, friendship buffers me from peril. He helps me escape before I face other things. It was great and I am very thankful to be remembered! Happy Tuesday everyone!

True Joy!!!!!

This joy comes from you Lord. I can't quit telling others about this JOY He gives me. His songs of praise and Bible verses from from my heart. I fall asleep with a prayer awaken with a hymn of praise, and you, Lord gives me joy and strength. In good times and bad I have learned to praise you, Lord. As my praises soar upward to You, new continuing joy fills my heart like an artesian well. The more joy I pass on to others, the more , Lord you refill my well with unquenchable joy!

True Beauty of The Heart

A glad heart makes a cheerful countenance.

Kind, gentle,pure,loving, and thankful thoughts, springing from a heart of love, create true beauty of face. We will not be loved primarily for our lily-white hands and school girl complexion but for what we are - for what we think and do. A thankful heart, like the one expressed in our life improves one's complexion.

You can become beautiful as you ask the Lord to remove you fears, your tensions, your grudges, your bitterness, your discontent and your sins. He'll replace these undesirable traits and emotions with His love, His kindness, His forgiveness, His joy, and His peace.

HOPE

This week I talked to some women who have no hope. My heart goes out to them. You have to HANG ON to Hope.

Jeremiah 29:11-12 gives hope and a future....

I love the Lord for His kindness and patience with me when I worry about the what-ifs. I thank him for reminding me often not to worry. Fear dos not come from the Lord. I'm in His hands; He knows my needs before I even ask. I know His Spirit dwells within me. He is my only Hope. While I enjoy your hope, thank you Lord, for helping me to keep reaching out for the lost who have no hope.

Such JOY!!!

I put an all points post on FB that I was grateful for friends who are always there and our friend, Geneva was the one I was hoping would comment and she did!!! Come on...that's a God thing. Due to the phone conversations I had to make yesterday, I needed her to be a part. Wow!!!! What do you do when you see the hand of God exactly perfectly on target? I have tons of JOY and can't help but praise God for His workings! Thanks Geneva!!!! Bless you!!

Praise God for the love of hubby, family and friends! We're almost finished with the notes!!! Woohoo. God helps on a daily basis to keep on moving ahead. Thank you Lord for helping us moment by moment. Happy Thursday everyone!

His Eye Is On The Sparrow
